Julie has been a friend to Dr. Fryer’s office for 20 years!
As a teenager, Julie wore braces, but noticed her teeth shifted as she got a little older and stopped wearing her retainers.
She was pleased that Dr. Fryer offered Invisalign to straighten her teeth because she didn’t necessarily want to wear braces for a second time in her life. We thought it was cool that Julie could straighten her teeth with an office where she already had a long standing relationship.
Take a look at Julie’s before photos. Not only were her teeth crooked, but if you look closely, you can also see that she had some tooth wear on the edges of her front teeth. See how flat those teeth look? Tooth wear can develop from having a bad bite. Julie had also been struggling with some headache pain stemming from her jaw due to her bite.
In April 2017, we started Julie’s Invisalign treatment. Since Dr. Fryer offers digital technology, we were able to scan her teeth with a small camera instead of taking a messy impression. We sent her scans to Invisalign and they built her Invisalign aligners. An aligner looks like a clear retainer. Each aligner is shaped a little differently than the one before and it’s those changes in shape that allow teeth to move. We saw Julie periodically to give her new aligners and she did a great job wearing them. 10 months later, Julie had her straight smile back! Not only did she improve her smile, but Julie reported that she is no longer having the same pain that she had before her bite was corrected. Double win!
In order to finish off her smile, Julie is now starting to whiten her teeth. With the Opalescence take home whitening gel, Julie is able to whiten her teeth while wearing her Invisalign retainers. It’s pretty convenient! We can’t wait to see how her teeth look after they are brightened up!
Thanks for being such a great patient, Julie! Your smile looks great!
