When You Don’t Have Dental Insurance
Let’s face it, dental care can be expensive. However, there are ways to reduce those costs. A recent Forbes Online article made some excellent points in regards to keeping costs for dental care in check.
The most exciting of these points was the discussion of The Quality Dental Plan. We have been proud providers of The Quality Dental Plan for about 4 years. Let me explain how The Quality Dental Plan works in our office. For a yearly membership fee you are entitled to two cleanings and exams per year as well as a 20% savings off any needed services (fillings, crowns etc) including 15% off orthodontic and implant services. The impact of offering this plan to our community has been profound. Our patients are visiting us more often, completing needed treatment, and overall have improved their dental health which in turn increases their over all health. Please don’t let lack of insurance prevent you from seeing the dentist. Call Missy today at 440-585-4200 for more information about joining our plan.
Another excellent point in the Forbes article was the discussion of prevention. Brushing twice a day and daily flossing are the cornerstone of good dental health. I know it sounds corny but it really does work. Limiting in between meal snacks and avoiding sugary snacks in general also decreases the risk of decay. One of the benefits of having a professional dental cleaning and exam twice a year is the ability of the dentist to detect problems when they are small. A small area of decay can turn into a major problem quickly if not detected and attended to. Don’t let that happen to you!
If you haven’t had a dental exam in a while or are putting it off because of money concerns don’t wait any longer. You owe it to yourself to have the healthiest smile possible. Call us or email us today!
