Many patients visit Dr. Fryer in his Mayfield Heights office from all over Cleveland to discuss straightening their teeth with Invisalign. Here are some of the common questions he gets during those consultations.
What is Invisalign?
With Invisalign, the patient will get a series of customized aligners that are each shaped a little differently than the one before. Every two weeks, the patient will begin wearing the next set of aligners. With each aligner set change, the patient gets closer to their straightened smile.
How long will my case take?
Although every case varies, most cases take about a year. Patients typically start to see results in about a month.
Will it hurt?
Because each new set of aligners is designed to move teeth, some pressure can be felt. As the patient’s teeth move, the aligner feels more comfortable. Patient report that any tooth soreness is never enough to discourage them from wearing their aligners.
How will I keep my teeth clean during the process?
This is the easy part! Because the aligners are removable, the patient can easily take them out to brush and floss like normal. As overlapped teeth start to straighten, they actually become easier to brush and floss.
Can I see some of Dr. Fryer’s before and after cases?
Why of course! Check out this page from our website.
Why should I go to Dr. Fryer?
Dr. Fryer is one of the ONLY Invisalign doctors in all of Cleveland that can take digital impressions for aligners. The traditional method is to take a series of impressions with goopy impression material to obtain records. That old method is outdated, messy, and uncomfortable for the patient. Dr. Fryer has the latest digital technology that allows him to simply take a series of photos to obtain the same records.
Can I use my dental coverage to help with cost?
This all depends on the patient’s particular dental plan. We are happy to look into those benefits at the Invisalign consultation. We also offer monthly payments (including a 0% interest option for those who qualify) through Care Credit Financing.
How do I get started?
It’s easy! Reserve your consultation with Dr. Fryer to find out more specifics regarding your particular case. He can even begin taking your digital impressions at that visit!
