What is Invisalign?
With Invisalign, the patient will get a series of customized aligners that are each shaped a little differently than the one before. Every two weeks, the patient will begin wearing the next set of aligners. With each aligner set change, the patient gets closer to their straightened smile.
How long will my case take?
Although every case varies, most cases take about a year. Patients typically start to see results in about a month.
Will it hurt?
Because each new set of aligners is designed to move teeth, some pressure can be felt. As the patient’s teeth move, the aligner feels more comfortable. Patient report that any tooth soreness is never enough to discourage them from wearing their aligners.
How will I keep my teeth clean during the process?
This is the easy part! Because the aligners are removable, the patient can easily take them out to brush and floss like normal. As overlapped teeth start to straighten, they actually become easier to brush and floss.
